Momintz Music

Artist usage terms

These terms cover posting music to Momintz, how other creators may use your tracks, and how you earn from them. They apply when you opt in as a music creator.

  1. 1
    You own what you post

You confirm you are the creator/owner of every track you upload, and that it contains no uncleared third-party copyrighted material — no samples, beats, melodies, lyrics, or vocals owned by someone else.

  2. 2
Other creators can use your track

By posting a track you grant Momintz and its creators a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use it as a sound in their own posts — for example dancers and video creators adding it to their videos across the platform.

  3. 3
You earn 10% when your track is used

When a moment that uses your track earns a tip, you receive 10% of that tip. Earnings show up in your wallet under “Music earnings.” (On-chain payout follows the platform’s payment schedule.)

  4. 4
    Validation = Impact Music

You may pay to have a track validated as Impact Music — strong message, original material, no copyright, clean. Validated tracks enter the platform sound library and become eligible to mint as an NFT.

  5. 5
    NFTs & royalty-free usage

If you mint a validated track as an NFT, the buyer receives the right to use that track royalty-free in their own Momintz content. You keep your secondary-sale royalties on the NFT itself.

  6. 6
    Content standards

Your music must be free of hate, harassment, and other objectionable content, and must follow the community guidelines. Tracks that violate this can be removed.

  7. 7
    Eligibility & removal

Posting music requires holding the minimum BAWLS balance. You can stop a track from being used in new posts at any time; moments that already used it keep their existing sound.
